LA GRANDE — For their winter term production, Eastern Oregon University’s Theatre program will be putting on its rendition of the American rock musical, “Next to Normal.”

“Next to Normal” is a Pulitzer Prize winning musical that discusses mental illness as it follows the life of Diana Goodman. Having struggled with bipolar disorder and hallucinations for 16 years, Diana tries her best to find a balance between happiness, sanity and her obligations to her family.

The play will take place in Schwarz Theater on March 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 7 p.m., and March 5 and 12 at 2 p.m. Tickets will cost $15 for general admission, $10 for veterans and seniors, and free for EOU students.
